George Owen

After a long battle with Parkinson's George passed away in Red Deer Regional Hospital just shy of his 88th birthday. George was born in Huxley, AB, to Olive and Arthur who had emigrated from England in 1921. He was raised on the farm in the Wimborne area with his brothers and sisters. George was a dedicated teacher and principal in central Alberta for 38 years. George is survived by his wife of 61 years Dorothy, daughter Karen (Dave) MacCabe, grandson Cale, daughter Cindy Sinclair (Don Jardine), granddaughter Stacey (John) Alexander, great grandsons Lucas, Matthew, and Nathan, granddaughter Kelsey (Gaelan) Lavery, Son Andrew Braham, granddaughter Callie Braham (Bryan Wynne), great grandsons Brody and Chance, Sister Isabelle (Gerry) Conly, and numerous nieces and nephews. George was predeceased by his parents, brothers Keith and Reginald, and sister Bessie. A memorial service will be held at Baptist Fellowship Center, in Trochu, Alberta November 26th, at 2:00pm. If desired, in place of flowers, memorial donations in George's honor may be made directly to the Trochu Museum.
