SCHMIDT George Keith George Schmidt, Mayor of High Level passed away in High Level on February 18, 2009 at the age of 60. Devoted husband of 39 years to wife Sonja, loving Father to Rodney ( Jakie), Christine, Greg ( Cheryl), Nadia, Shane, Delee, Iver, Lisa, Wade, Cheridene, Bryant, Brent, Daisy, Kendra and hundreds of other children who called him Dad. Grandfather to Mariah, Lucas, Kayla, Kelsey and Kaiden with one on the way. Funeral Services will be held from the High Level Public School Gymnasium in High Level on Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Vern Vansteenburg officiating. Interment to follow at High level Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Northwest FASD Society as expressions of sympathy.
