George (Geert) VandenBrink of Red Deer, AB passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family.
George leaves to mourn his wife of 62 years Magdalena (Leany) nee Koster, his daughter Jeanette (Paul) Heyens, and sons David (Pei) VandenBrink, Ken (Albertina) VandenBrink, Doug VandenBrink (Francie Hawthorne), and Roy (Dena) VandenBrink. George also leaves to mourn 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers Tony (Kay), Casey (Evelyn), Ben (Denise), and sisters Femmie Tenhove, Anne (Dan) Pohl, Cobi (Henk) Visser, Jean (Robert) Pohl, Marijke (John) Gough, Johanna (Alex) Wiersma, and sisters-in-law Truus VandenBrink, Ethel VandenBrink, and Carol Hansen as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Heartfelt thanks to the entire care team at The Red Deer Regional Hospital Hemodialysis Unit as well as to Doctor S. Konynenbelt for excellent care.
We would also like to thank Pastors Gary Bomhof and Jack Hielema for their support and pastoral care to George, Leany, and his family.
