George Wilbert "Willy"
It is with great sadness that we mourn the sudden passing of Willy Gagne at the age of 67 years, surrounded by his loving family, on November 26, 2009, at the Ponoka Hospital and Care Centre. Will was born in Blairmore, Alberta on September 11, 1942. He attended school in Blairmore, Red Deer, and the University of Alberta (Professional Engineer.) He worked in Red Deer and lived there until moving to Ponoka's Champion Centre in 2002. Willy was a great friend to all, and loved to play crib and pool. He was a kind, generous, thoughtful person, and was well liked by everyone who knew him. He is survived by his brothers Roland (Liza) of Ottawa, Ontario, Art (Nancy) and Denis; sisters Yvonne Taylor and Adele (Calvin) Waldo all of Red Deer, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his many friends at Champion Centre. A Service of Remembrance was celebrated at the St. Augustine's Catholic Church, Ponoka ( 5113 - 52 Ave.) on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at 11:00 am.
