It is with great sadness that the family of George Heemeryck announces his passing. He will be lovingly remembered by his four children, George (Charlotte), Ken (Barb), Barrie (Bev), and Marlene (David); as well as 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Mary. George was a WWII Veteran and a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 104 in Innisfail. In the 65 years he was married to Mary, they enjoyed many trips around the word and cruises to warmer climates. As an avid outdoorsman he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening. He was a handy-man, who's projects are still being enjoyed by his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. From doll houses to the game of "cuss" his projects continue to create treasured memories. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him. George's family want to thank the entire staff at Sunset Manor for their compassionate care. As well, we have appreciated the outstanding care shown by Dr. G. Miller. There will be no memorial service held at this time. A family celebration of George and Mary's life will be held at a later date.
