TELFER Georgia “Jo” Alberta Telfer, of Red Deer, Alberta passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Friday, April 22, 2005 in her 90th year, as a result of suffering a heart attack last September. Her last few days were peaceful. Jo was born to Nelson and Ovedia Rudolph on August 27th, 1915 at Provost, Alberta. Jo met and married the love of her life, William “Bill” Miller Telfer on June 2nd, 1934. She will be lovingly remembered and cherished in the hearts of her two daughters; Connie Barnaby of Red Deer, and Kay (Grant) Olsen, of Edmonton, four grandchildren; Pat McIntosh, Doug (Lana) Olsen, Don (Phoebe) Olsen, and Jo-Ann Olsen, six great-grandchildren; Angela McIntosh, Mark, Nathanial and Timothy Olsen, and Kaitlin and Kennedy Olsen, one sister, Bell Fisher of Red Deer, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jo was predeceased by her parents, two sisters, May and Matilda, her husband, Bill, in August, 1995, and her granddaughter, Terri Scroxton, in 1979. The family wishes to thank the medical staff and the doctors who cared for Jo and especially the nurses in ICU, Units 21, 22, 23, 32 and 35 of the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre. The family would like to make special mention of the dedication, care, and professionalism of the nurses on Unit 31 who cared for their mother and grandmother in her last days.
