STRINGER, GLADYS Mrs. Gladys Stringer of Innisfail passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2004 at the Rosefield Centre, at the age of 90 years. Gladys was born December 20, 1913 at Innisfail. She went to school at Horse Shoe Lake. Gladys and Borden were married in 1936 and farmed in the Wimborne area, then moved to Kneehill Valley in 1946. After many years of farming they moved to Innisfail in 1991 and lived there until her passing.
She is survived by her children Murray and his wife Edna of Innisfail, Darlene Oxtoby and husband Ken of Innisfail, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, three sisters Marian Calvert and husband Joe of Innisfail, Lola Fisher of Innisfail Ruby and husband Stan of Innisfail. Gladys was predeceased by her husband Borden in 1997, four brothers and one great granddaughter. Funeral services for the late Gladys Stringer will be held Wednesday, October 27, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. from the Innisfail United Church with Reverend Margaret Lange officiating and interment at the Innisfail Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Innisfail Rosefield Centre or the Autumn Glen Lodge.
