Peacefully on August 27, 2019 Glenn passed away at the Royal Alex Hospital in Edmonton.
Glenn was predeceased by his infant son Arthur. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years Leona; daughters, Brenda (Bryan), Darlene (Joe) and son Warren; Grandchildren Adam (Ami), Timothy (Ashley), Sarah and Colin; Great Grandchildren Alexander, Aiden and Matea.
Glenn farmed West of Innisfail for over 50 years. Glenn and Leona moved to Red Deer from the family farm in 1987. Working for about the next 15 years at Parkland Nurseries kept Glenn busy with a new kind of farming and new friendships. He finally retired in about 1995, which gave time for about 30 bus trips across Canada and the US.
Glenn was proud of his children, Grandchildren and most recently his three Great Grandchildren. He enjoyed playing crib, square dancing, cross country skiing with a fun bunch in Kananaskis. Warren and Glenn and the family spent many hours cutting firewood and he always had a sharp sense of humor and a gift for telling stories and jokes.
A celebration of Glenn's life will be held Saturday August 31, 2019 at Sunnybrook United Church, Red Deer. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Heart and Stroke, Kidney Foundation and Sunnybrook United Church.
