GOODMAN, Mrs. Grace Goodman of Red Deer passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Wednesday, April 20, 2005 at the age of 88 years. Grace was born on August 8, 1916 near Sedalia, Alberta. She was raised and attended school in Alliance, Alberta and then attended Normal School in Camrose, Alberta. Grace taught in various country schools and in Alliance. In 1941, Grace married Abe Goodman. After Abe’s return from World War II, the couple settled in Coleman, Alberta and later moved to Red Deer in 1953. Grace was active in her community and was a member of the Kiwaniannes Club of Red Deer and the Red Deer Hospital Auxiliary for many years. Grace will be very sadly missed but lovingly remembered by her loving family and dear friends. Grace leaves to mourn her loss two daughters: Marilyn (Don) McBain of Bobcaygeon, Ontario and Shirley (Ken) Stashko of Athabasca, Alberta and four grandchildren: Marnie, James, Katie and Lucy. Grace was predeceased by her beloved husband, Abe, in 1974. A Celebration of Grace’s Life will be held at Gaetz Memorial United Church, 4758 Ross Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday, April 23, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. Cremation entrusted to the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
