BRILZ Gordon Charles (1954 - 2009) On January 30, 2009 Oliver resident, Mr. Gordon Charles Brilz passed away at the Penticton Regional Hospital at the age of 54 years. A memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 from Christ The King Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m., with Father Walter Doherty as the celebrant. A reception to follow in the lower church hall. Gordon was pre-deceased by his parents, Christian and Emma Brilz, his wife, Judith Brilz (Blodgett) and and son, Craig Charles Brilz. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his family including his partner, David Hinton; son, Christian Brilz; daughters, Camy-lynne Brilz (Bruce), Cory-lee Mills (Robert), Connie-lou Brilz (Brian) and Cara-lane Brilz (Robert) and his eleven dear grandchildren, as well as extended family and a multitude of friends around the world. Gordon was a career chef and teacher. He enjoyed many years in restaurant management as well as teaching chef training and religious studies in Red Deer and chef training in North Vancouver.
