December 2, 1931 - March 9, 2021
In Loving Memory ~ Gordon Davidson of Red Deer peacefully went to be with his heavenly Father on March 9, 2021. Gordon was born in Edmonton - Raised on the family farm in Ardrossan and was the last surviving child in a group of 12 siblings.
He was predeceased by his wife Peggy of 42 years in 1996, and by his grandson, Kevin in 2012. Gordon is lovingly remembered by his children; Andy (Darlene), Tom (Tracy), Ron (David) and Darcy (Keryl), Grandchildren; Cory (Kim), Paulette (Sean), Jessica, Nicolas, Lucas, Jacob, Great Grandkids; Calli, Ryan, Corbin and Teagan; many brother and sister in laws, and numerous nieces and nephews, and many good friends.
Throughout his lifetime, Gordon, along with Peggy, volunteered in many ways, including the K of C Hockey program in Edmonton, St James Church Council, and the K of C #3408 council as their financial secretary. He also became the President of the Red Deer Irish Canadian Culture Club. (Not bad for a Scotsman). Gordon spent a large portion of his career working at Century Sales & Service, eventually leading them to Red Deer where he finished his career.
We would like to thank the staff at the Red Deer Hospital Covid Unit, for their loving care of Papa Gord.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Gordon.
Due to Covid restrictions a private family service will be held in Red Deer.
