Gordon A. McTavish, passed away in Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, November 20, 2009 at the age of 93 years. Gordon was born in Saskatoon, SK and resided in Calgary for many years until moving to Red Deer in 1999 where he has since resided. Gordon spent most of his working life helping families in Funeral Service and for over 35 years he was the general manager of McInnis & Holloway Funeral Home retiring in 1980. He was a life member of the Lions Club and also volunteered with many other organizations over the years. Gordon was a very gentle sympathetic man, who was greatly respected both by his peers and all that knew him. He is survived by his daughter, Sandy Williams of Broken Arrow, OK; two granddaughters, Kendra (Bob) Polanco and Dianne (Matt) Hixenbaugh all of Tulsa, OK; four great grandchildren, Adrian and Jordan Hixenbaugh, Kalee and Aleksey Polanco; two sisters-in-law, Pat Majeau of London, ON and Dee Shinske of Regina, SK. several nieces, nephews and members of Iva's family. He was predeceased by his first wife Gog, second wife Iva and two sisters, Mary McTavish and Helena Brice. A Celebration of Life will be held at Masterpiece Aspen Ridge Retirement Residence (3100 - 22 Street, Red Deer, AB), on Saturday, November 28, 2009 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Forward condolences through
