GOW, Mr. Wayne William Gow of Red Deer, passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Sunday, April 24, 2005 at the age of 65 years. Wayne was born on November 6, 1939 at Ottawa, Ontario. Wayne was a beloved father who cared deeply for his family and a gentle and trusted friend to many. He worked as a plumber/pipe fitter for forty-five years and finished his career at the Joffre Plant. Wayne loved his trade and thoroughly enjoyed his career. Wayne loved the outdoors and marveled over the simple things in life. He enjoyed going camping with his family and friends and liked to go ice fishing and even tried panning for gold a time or two on his claim at Atlin, British Columbia. Wayne will be very deeply missed but lovingly remembered and forever cherished in the hearts of his family and many good friends. Wayne leaves to mourn his loss, his loving sons, Shawn (Donna) of Red Deer, Todd (Renata) of Ottawa, Ontario, Scott, also of Red Deer and Chad and Chris, both of Ottawa and his six grandchildren. He will also be sadly missed by his mother, Mary of Ottawa, three sisters, Wendy, Cindy and Cathy, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and good friends. Wayne was predeceased by his father, Earl Gow and an uncle, Gerald Gow. Relatives and friends are invited to come and pay their respects at Eventide Funeral Chapels, 4820 – 45th Street, Red Deer, Alberta between the hours of 1:00 and 2:00 p.m. A Celebration of Wayne’s Life will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapels, Red Deer, Alberta on Thursday, April 28, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation will follow at the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta. If desired, Memorial Donations in Wayne’s honour may be made directly to a Charity of the donor’s choice.
