Grace REMILLARD

REMILLARD Grace Helen Remillard of Red Deer passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on August 10, 2007 at the age of 88 years. Grace was born in Lethbridge, Alberta on October 13, 1918 to Charles and Rose Wigley. She was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was an active member of the Catholic Women's League. She was the founder of the Friendship Meals served at Sacred Heart Parish which still continues today. She was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 35. After retiring, Grace loved spending time with her grandchildren, Bingo night with the girls and watching sports. She was an avid fan of the Riggers and coached many a game from her front row seat. Grace will be lovingly remembered by five children; Dennis (Ghislaine) of Olds, Annette (Bill) Bailey of Red Deer, Louise Rutherford of Red Deer, Andrew (Janet) of Sylvan Lake and Marie Remillard of Red Deer, ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She is also survived by five siblings; Bill (Mabel) Wigley of Lacombe, Fred (Grace) Wigley of Stettler, George Wigley of Edmonton, Betty Kubinchak of Red Deer and Richard (Pam) Wigley of British Columbia as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Grace was predeceased by her husband Omer Remillard, one brother, Charles, one sister, Lucy Marshall and one grandson, Jason Bailey. A celebration of her life and Prayer Service will be held at the Red Deer Funeral Home (6150-67 Street) on Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church (6 McMillan Avenue) on Thursday, August 16, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. with Father Gary Lee Celebrant. Interment will follow at the Alto-Reste Cemetery.
