HALVORSON Mrs. Luella “Lou” E. Halvorson of Rimbey, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre, Rimbey on Thursday, December 29, 2005 at the age of 89 years. Lou will be lovingly remembered by her son, Ron (Betty) Halvorson of Red Deer; her daughter, Doreen McGregor of Leduc; as well as eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She will also be lovingly remembered by her two sisters, Elsie (Jimmy) Jaffray of Rimbey; and Signe Russell of Spokane, Washington. Lou was predeceased by her husband, Halvard in 1979; her daughter, Shirley Ellis; and one sister, Alma Herring. Funeral Services in Celebration of Lou’s Life will be held at the Zion Lutheran Church; Rimbey on Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. with the Reverend Deborah Laing officiating. Interment will follow in the Mount Auburn Cemetery, Rimbey. If friends desire, memorial tributes in Lou’s Memory may be made directly to the Huntington Society of Canada, Suite 400 – 51 Frederick Street, Kitchener, Ontario N2H 2M2; or to the charity of one’s choice.
