1930 - 2014
Hans Kurz of Red Deer passed away on March 5th at the age of 84 years. Hans is lovingly remembered by his wife of 46 years, Anne(Oldring), his four children Irving (Barbara), Jonathan (Denise), Jim (Nija), and Judi (Dave), ten grandchildren, and one great-grandson. Hans arrived in Canada from Germany in 1951, lived, worked and raised his family in Southern Ontario, and moved to Red Deer after his retirement in 2002. Hans was never happier than when he was sitting with his family telling stories about his own childhood, and the antics of his children growing up. In following with Hans's wishes, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, his family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Alberta, 105, 4419 - 50 Avenue, Red Deer AB T4N 3Z5, or to the Red Deer Hospice Society, 99 - Arnot Avenue, Red Deer AB T4R 3S6.
