HARINK Mr. Elmer Harink of Lacombe passed away at the Lacombe Hospital and Care Centre on his 84th birthday, August 1, 2004. Elmer was born in Alderson, Alberta on August 1, 1920. He was raised near Nobleford, Alberta and later farmed there with his father growing sugar beets. In 1950 he married Alida Keegstra and in 1953 they moved to the Lacombe district where he had a dairy farm until 1977. He raised beef cattle until 1982 when he and Alida moved to the town of Lacombe. Elmer and Alida spent the summer traveling in their various R.V. vehicles. They saw much of the north & west of the country. In 1978 they took a trip to Europe. Elmer & Ailida attended the Calvary Evangelical Free Church of Lacombe for the last 40 years. Elmer is survived by his loving wife Alida, sons Don (Heny), Doug (Debby), Greg (Linda), Stan, Rod; daughters Janet (Wayne) Reesor & Judy (Eric) Reimers, 21 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held from the Calvary Evangelical Free Church 4619 C & E Trail Lacombe on Thursday, August 5, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. Interment, Lacombe Fairview Cemetery.
