It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Dad, Harold Joa on December 3, 2014 in Drumheller. Dad lived his 81 years as a hard working, honest man. He was a 'jack of all trades' from an electrician to a Corrections Officer at the Drumheller Institution. Dad loved his sports and was an avid fastball player as a young man in Red Deer. Dad was predeceased by his wife Jayne, of 52 yrs in 2011. He is survived by his son Blair Joa, Drumheller, his daughter Cheryl (Martin) Elkes, Drumheller and the two who lit up his life, his grandaughters, Shelby and Brinley Elkes. Dad also leaves behind his siblings Jerry (Rose) Joa, Red Deer, Mildred Anderson, Lacombe, Pat (Nellie) Joa, Lethbridge, Irene Sather, Moose Jaw, Sask., Helen Thompson Regina, Sask., Memorial Mass services to be held Thursday Dec 11th, 2014 at 11am. St. Anthony's Church Drumheller. Personal Alternatives of Airdrie are taking care of arrangements
