Mr. Harry Alfred Baker of Red Deer passed away at the Davenport Cottage, Red Deer, on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at the age of 89 years. Harry is survived by his children Shirley (Frank), Edward, Harry (Laura), Linda (Bill), Mark (Julie), Arnold (Carolyn) and Pauline (Ernest); twelve grandchildren Graham, Carolyn, J.R., Kyle, Jaylene, Julian, Bryce, Monique, Gordon, Randell, Joel and Chloe; five great grandchildren Stephen, Tegan, Trista, Colton and Matthew. Also to cherish Harry's memory is his previous wife and friend Paulette; three brothers Wilbert (Ellie), Garnet (Ella) and Ken; three sisters Ivy, Inis (Ed) and Karen (Nick) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Harry was predeceased by two wives Margaret and Jean; his special companion Nellie; two sisters Faye and Thelma; five brothers Jim, Everett, Robert "Bob", Allan "Bud" and Gordon. A funeral service will be held from the chapel of Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 - 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. For those wishing to pay their respects, viewing will take place 10:00 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. prior to the service. Harry's family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to Glynis, Laura and their caring and cheerful staff at Davenporrt and Ashlea Cottages in Red Deer. A "Thank You" also goes out to Karen and her "Fun Team" at the Lions Day Wellness Centre in Yorkton, Saskatchewan.
