Harry LINDSKOG

LINDSKOG Harry Victor Lindskog of Red Deer passed away peacefully at his home on March 16, 2005 at the age of 80 years. He was born in Morningside, Alberta on January 24, 1925 in the Canadian Pacific Railway Station House. He grew up and attended school in Lacombe before joining the RCAF during WWII where he served as a navigator. Harry completed his Commerce degree from the U of A in 1948 and earned his Chartered Accountants designation in 1950. He founded one of the first Chartered Accountant Firms in Red Deer in 1952, which he grew into a successful practice with several partners until his retirement in 1990. He was united in marriage to Hazel Langer of Eckville in 1951. Harry was an active and charter member of various service clubs including the Red Deer Royal Canadian Legion, Rotarians, Kinsmen as well as the Red Deer Golf and Country Club. For many years. Harry enjoyed his bird hunting, golf and various other sporting and social activities. Harry is survived by his loving wife Hazel of Red Deer; two sons, Tom (Christy) Lindskog of Bragg Creek, Doug (Sally) Lindskog of Cremona; one daughter Joan (Garry) Hermary of Sylvan Lake; one sister Viola Reddick of Ponoka; his grandchildren Dan Hermary, Erika, Jessica, Kelly, Hayden, Erin and Whitney Lindskog; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was predeceased by his parents; two brothers; two sisters; and his granddaughter Loni. He will be truly missed by his family and friends. The family would like to invite you to a time of fellowship and remembrance at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall, 2810 Bremner Ave., Red Deer, AB, on Wednesday, March 23, 2005 from 2 - 5 PM.
