On Friday, December 22, 2017, our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ received unto Himself in glory Hattie Linker at the age of 74 years after a lengthy battle with bone cancer. Hattie was born August 26, 1943, the firstborn of Max and Barb Hoogstra at Ten Post, Groningen, Netherlands.

The family immigrated to Canada in 1951, arriving in Chatham, Ontario where she met Wilbur. They married on October 9, 1964. The Lord blessed them with five children, Jacqueline Anne, David Wayne, Paul Michael, Michelle Joy and Sarah Naomi and twenty grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Hattie will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, Wilbur; children, Bert and Jackie Mulder David and Karen Linker, Paul and Melonie Linker, Jon and Michelle Bult, Ivan and Sarah Van Assen and their children; her mother, Barb Hoogstra; her siblings, Al and Ena Hammer, Bill and Mary Soepboer, Klass and Jeanie Hoogstra, Max and Betty Hoogstra, John and Caroline Folkerts; and brother-in-law Wes Bylsma and their extended families. Hattie was predeceased by her dad; sister, Sadie Bylsma, daughter-in-law, Christine Linker; grandchildren Jessica Louise Linker and Alexander James Linker.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Redeemer United Reformed Church, 4519 - 46 Avenue, Lacombe, on Friday, December 29th at 1:30pm, with Rev. Brian Feenstra of Immanuel Protestant Reformed Church, officiating.

The family would like to thank the staff at Lacombe Home Care and the Red Deer Hospice for their excellent care and compassion during Hattie's illness.
