It is with great sadness that the family of Heidi Louise Lee (nee Bruin) announces her passing on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at the age of 38 years. She was born on November 19, 1975 at Red Deer, Alberta. Heidi was a beautiful person with an intelligent nature. She had a sense of humour along with a giving and compassionate heart. She loved to play baseball in the summer and even joined a league. Her greatest love and joy were her sons and making sure they were happy. She had a passion for being a lifeguard and a swim coach. Heidi was that person that could be a magician with many tricks of the trade. Heidi will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Jody and their two sons, Jessy and Austyn of Olds, Alberta, her father, Herman Bruin (Christine) of Red Deer, sisters, Corinna (Roger) Bruin-Tewson of Innisfail, Alberta, Rebecca (Chuck) Steele of Penhold, Alberta, brothers, Troy (Diane) Bruin of Millet, Alberta, Marty (Catherine) Bruin of Red Deer and grandfather, Cor Bruin. She will also be sadly missed by her parents-in-law, Dennis and Shirley Shewkenek of Olds, Alberta, sisters-in-law, Shannon Lee (Devin) of Okotoks, Alberta, Robyn Orom (Brandon) of Lacombe, Alberta and Dani Shewkenek (Cory) of Red Deer; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Heidi was predeceased by her mother, Carol Bruin (nee Barnes), brother, Cameron Bruin, grandparents, Ella and Robert Barnes and grandmother, Ariea Bruin. A Celebration of Heidi's Life will be held at First Christian Reformed Church, 16 McVicar Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Gary Bomhof officiating.
