It is with deep sadness and sorrow to announce the passing of our dad Hank Werkema on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at the age of 96 years.
He was born July 7, 1922 in Groningen, of the Netherlands to Geert Frans and Dieuwke Werkema the second oldest of five boys.
Dad loved all of his six children equally and is survived by 2 sons, Klaas (Christine) Werkema, Christopher (Jacqueline) Werkema 3 daughters, Dianna (Ken) Kaiser, Patricia (Glen) Rachul, Coby Werkema and 1 brother K. John Werkema. 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
He is predeceased by son Garry Werkema in 1979 and 3 brothers.
Memorial service will be held at the First Christian Reformed Church, 16 McVicar St., Red Deer, AB on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 2:30 p.m.
