Jean Gallelli of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at the age of 93 years.
Jean was raised on her parent's farm in the environs of Bentley, AB, as a member of the area's extended Haarstad family. She was fiercely independent and remained so until her passing. Cancer made several attempts on Jean's life but was vanquished every time. Summers and holidays were for the most part spent at the family farm, her most beloved place. As per her wishes, she will rest in peace near the family farm.
Funeral Services will be held at Grace Lutheran Church (Township Road 402A, Bentley, AB T0C 0J0) on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at the adjoining Vig Cemetery. Family and friends are most welcome to attend. COVID protocols restrict Church attendance to 40 persons.
