Helen MCDONALD

MCDONALD Helen Isabelle McDonald (Kovacs) of Red Deer passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Monday, December 26, 2005 at the age of 86 years. Helen was born in Hungary on September 22, 1919 to Frank and Juliana Kovacs. She was a member of the Catholic Woman’s League, Ridgewood WI and 4-H. Helen worked for many years with AGT. She enjoyed making crafts and doing needle point. Helen loved her grandchildren and enjoyed going to their different activities. Helen will be lovingly remembered by her husband, John McDonald, three children; Betty-Jean (Craig) Prusakowski of Edmonton, Donald McDonald of Cochrane and Cathy (Rob) Kolton of Red Deer, five grandchildren; Adam, James, Christine, Daniel, and Julie, two brothers; Frank (Rose) Kovacs of Calgary and Louis Kovacs of Grand Prairie and one sister-in-law, Kay Kovacs of Red Deer. Helen will also be missed by many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by one brother, Steve Kovacs. A Prayer Service will be held at the Red Deer Funeral Home (6150-67 Street) on Wednesday, January 4, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (5508-48A Avenue) on Thursday, January 5, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. with Father Don Stein Celebrant.
