Henry KAHL

KAHL Henry Phillip David Kahl passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family in the late hours of Aug. 29th, 2009 at the Pine Ridge Nursing Home. Henry was 75 years old. Henry is survived by loving wife Mary Kahl, children Lynn (Albert) Pratt, Garth (Angie) Kahl, grandchildren Michelle Pratt, Eric Kahl, Rider Kahl, and Tyson Kahl. He is also survived by Brother Lyle (Donna) Kahl, sisters, Elsie (Edward) Skow, Geraldine (Joseph) Janow, Caroline (Frank) Nelson, Louise Vysch and Diane Michaud. He was predeceased by Henry Kahl Sr. (father; 1991), Clara Kahl (mother; 2001), 10 uncles, 1 aunt and recently Leonard Michaud (brother-in-law; 2009). Henry was born June 3rd, 1934 in Rabbit Lake, Sk. He was raised in Molewood District, SK where he attended Molewood District and Hyde Park schools. He was employed as a "Cat-skinner" in North Battleford where he met and married his dedicated wife, Mary in 1957. Shortly after he moved his new family to Stettler, Ab where they built their home and he started his own successful H. Kahl Construction. His work was his passion and was known for the pride he took in his equipment. When not working, he enjoyed big game hunting, curling, running tractor on his farm, quietly playing his guitar and cruising the country side in the newest truck. He was a loving and proud husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. A graveside funeral services will be held at the Lake View Cemetery, in Stettler Thursday, September 3rd, 2009 at 1:00 p.m.. All of Henry's friends and family are invited to attend. Immediately following the service a reception & fellowship will take place at the Brennen Funeral Home Reception area. A eulogy will be delivered by Keith Worth.
