Henry Kranenborg passed away with his beloved wife Rika by his side on March 21, 2017.

Henry was born August 23, 1940 in Nijverdal, Holland. He immigrated to Canada with his family in 1950. He settled in Red Deer in 1952.

Henry met the love of his life Rika and they were married January 30, 1960. Henry had a passion for soccer and hockey but loved all sports. His accounting career started in 1960. His career spanned from 1963-1999 as part owner of Central Equipment Rentals until his retirement in 1999.

Henry was the loving father to Susan, Ryan & Carla, Rick & Darlene and stepson John and Avery. Opa had eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Rika was “The best thing that ever happened to me”, as he told her over and over before his passing.

Henry was predeceased by his parents Jan & Zwaatje, sister Henny and son in law Maurice.

A celebration of Henry’s life will be Tuesday March 28, 2017, 2:00 p.m. at First Christian Reformed Church 16 McVicar St, Red Deer AB. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Red Deer Hospice 99 Arnot Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta T4R 3S6.
