Henry Krebs went home in the arms of angels, to join his beloved wife, Helen Rita and infant daughter, Linda Faye on December 25, 2020.
Born in Riga, Latvia to Henry and Emilie Krebs in September 1929, the youngest of two sons. The family emigrated to Canada when he was a toddler, settling in the Creston, B.C. area. After graduating Henry ventured out in search of opportunities to Calgary where he met the love of his life, Helen Demers. They were married June 24, 1955 and soon moved to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Henry aspired to have his own meat shop, so when he saw a newspaper add for a shop for sale in Red Deer, they chose to purchase it and settle there. Helen agreed to work side-by-side with him, and together with their partner, Alex Stone, they opened Central Abattoir, growing it into a prominent business. After selling the business in 1976, he enjoyed traveling with Helen to Yuma, Arizona, Hawaii, and Germany. In his later years he enjoyed going for drives, coffee with friends, managing the farm and spending time with family.
Henry was very proud of his children and always treasured every moment with his grandchildren.
He will be dearly remembered and greatly missed by; Allan, Valerie (Glen) and their children Paul (Calista), Pamela (Alexander), Shaylea ,Wayne (Noranna) and their children, Connor, Heidi; Dale (Jennifer) and their son Tyler.
Henry was predeceased by an infant daughter, Linda Faye; wife Helen; brother Harry; and daughter-in-law Nancy.
