HOFFMAN, Mrs. Edna Hoffman, beloved wife of the late Mr. Alvin Hoffman of Red Deer, passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Sunday, June 12, 2005 at the age of 87 years. Edna was born on May 30, 1918 at Loyalist, Alberta. Edna was a very special woman who was a delight to others wherever she went. Edna was loving, caring, kind and she had a heart of gold. Her family meant everything to Edna and she spent a lifetime loving and caring for them the very best she could. Edna loved to bake and she was a wonderful baker always making special treats for her family and friends to enjoy. She loved to visit and play cards, her favorite game was rummy. Edna also loved her flower gardens and she loved to go dancing. Edna will be very sadly missed but lovingly remembered and forever cherished in the hearts of her family and dear friends. Edna leaves to mourn her loss, her loving children, Elmer (Dorothy) Hoffman of Surrey, British Columbia and Dorothy (Lyle) Kilpatrick of Red Deer, her grandchildren, Janet (Dave) Bury, Daryl (Jill) Hoffman, Braden (Tawnee) Kilpatrick, Kelly (Kyla) Kilpatrick and Brent Hoffman, her grandchildren, Justin, Jillian, Zachary, Kevin, Michael, Ashley and Liam, as well as many dear and loyal relatives and friends. A Celebration of Edna’s Life will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapels, 4820 – 45th Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Thursday, June 16, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation will follow at the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta. If desired, Memorial Donations in Edna’s honour may be made directly to a Charity of the donor’s choice.
