HUGGINS Mrs. Alice Elizabeth Huggins passed away in St. Mary's Nursing Home, Trochu, on the evening of June 14, at the age of 86. Alice is survived by her daughters Christine Hunter of Elnora and Margaret (Hugh) Payne of Simcoe, Ontario; grandchildren Kathryn Hunter of Calgary; Owen (Amanda) Hunter of Red Deer; Carole (Bryan) Hunter of Oakville, Ontario; Sujinder (Kim) of Vancouver, B.C.; Paul (Carrie) Juneja of Delhi, Ontario; and Angela Juneja, of Simcoe; and greatgrandchildren Nicholas Hunter; Derek and Branden Hunter; Ella and Saran Juneja; Connor and Melia Juneja. Alice was born in Reading, Berkshire, England, the second youngest child of Herbert and Irene Large. She was married to Owen Edwin Huggins on January 17, 1946. When Owen joined the RCAF, they and their daughters made their home in France, B.C., Alberta and Manitoba. Owen and Alice moved back to Alberta, first to Trochu in 1983 and then to Bowden in 1988. Following Owen's death in 2005, Alice resided in the Bethany Care Centre in Red Deer; Rosefield Centre in Innisfail and lastly in St. Mary's, Trochu. Mum was blessed to have excellent care during the last years of her life and her family is grateful for all the kindnesses bestowed upon her.  A Memorial Service in Celebration of Alice's Life will be held at the Elnora Community Hall on Friday, June 19, 2009 at 3:00 p.m., with Rev. Pat Dyson officiating.
