MACFADYEN Hugh MacFadyen passed away peacefully on April 10, 2007 at the age of 101 years in the Innisfail Hospital. Hugh was born on June 11, 1905 at Windygates Fifeshire, Scotland. Hugh immigrated to Canada in Feb. 1920 with his parents Hugh and Margaret, settling east of Innisfail. Hugh married Winifred Beckingsale on August 5th 1945 and farmed until retirement in 1990. Hugh was an active member of the community his entire life and enjoyed dancing, curling and playing cards. Hugh was predeceased by two sisters Margaret Borak and Violet Piens; and daughter-in-law Pamela MacFadyen. Hugh is survived by his loving wife, Winifred of 61 years, three sons, Daniel (Penny), Dave (Maureen) and Jack (Megan); seven grandchildren, Chris, Kirsten, Kim (Marcel), Lisa, Morgan, Neil and Ian and two great grand-children Kieran and Wesley. If friends so desire donations may be made in Hugh's memory to the Holy Trinity Church at Pine Lake, PO Box 36, Pine Lake, AB. T0M 1S0. A public memorial service will be held at the Pine Lake Hub Centre at 2:00pm on Monday, April 16, 2007. Hugh will be greatly missed.
