NORTHCOTT Ida Fredarica Ida Fredarica Northcott (nee Wagner) was born August 9, 1918 and passed away on September 12, 2007 at the age of 89. Ida was the fourth child and only daughter of Louis and Anina Wagner, born August 9, 1918. She was born at Clair, Saskatchewan. She attended Quill Lake View School until March, 1927. Her family moved to a farm ½ mile west of Clive, AB. She attended Clive School for eight years and graduated from the first Grade 12 class ever taught in Clive. Ida was united in marriage to Richard (Dick) Northcott on June 17, 1942. They lived on Section 17 south of Clive. They later acquired a Timber Berth, 20 miles west of Rocky Mountain House. They lived a very busy life. Ida was an active member of the Sargeant Ladies and Clive Seniors. She was an excellent cook and always enjoyed card games. She especially loved gardening and caring for her flowers. The family enjoyed sports such as baseball, hockey, tennis and curling. Ida was often seen frequenting the arena and ball diamond to see as many hockey and ball games as she could. She loved watching her grandchildren, just as she loved watching her boys. She is survived by her sons Dick (Bev) of Clive, AB and Harold (Barb) of Rocky Mountain House (Vauxhall)AB, her grandchildren Heather Northcott of Stettler, Richard and Vincent Northcott of Clive, Dustin Northcott of Centreville, Iowa, USA, Chad and Heidi Northcott of Rocky Mountain House (Vauxhall)AB, sister-in-law Doris Wagner of Clive and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Dick (1991), her brothers Harold, Oscar and Leonard Wagner. Funeral services will be held from Wilson's Funeral Chapel Lacombe on Wednesday September 19, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Clive Cemetery.
