PAUL Iris Iris Paul (nee James) passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Bethany Care Centre in Red Deer, AB on June 30, 2008 at the age of 93 years. Born in Skewen, Wales, U.K. on February 3, 1915, she moved with her family to Edmonton, Alberta in 1919. Iris married Robert (Bert) Gordon Paul of Edmonton on March 8, 1952 and they settled on a farm south of Berwyn in the Peace River district of northern Alberta, where they raised their family. They retired to Wetaskiwin in 1978 and in 1998 they moved to a senior's complex in Red Deer. Bert passed away in 2000. She was also predeceased by her parents, Mary and Sydney James and her brother Gwynne James. Iris will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her son Lloyd Paul, daughter Peggy (Ralph) Banner and grandchildren Jamie Paul, Garnet Paul, Maureen Banner and Michael (Katerina) Banner. Friends and family are invited to a Memorial Service at Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 – 67A Street, Red Deer on Saturday, July 5, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the S.P.C.A. 4505 77 Street, Red Deer, AB T4P 2J1 in Iris's memory.
