Isabel Weisenburger passed away peacefully at the age of 94 years. Isabel was born in Calgary, AB and grew up on the family farm at Three Hills with her parents and four brothers. In November 1938, she married Walter Ranta of Trochu where they farmed, raised three daughters and took part in many community activities. Isabel moved to Red Deer in 1971 and then to Rosefield Lodge in Innisfail last year. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her three daughters, Margaret Thorpe, Dorothy Ranta and Helen (Gord) Empey; her adoring grandchildren Shannon (Dean), Jim, Kelly, Kyle, Clifford (Karine), Justin and great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Robert (Shirley) Deans, as well numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. At Isabel's request, there will be no funeral service. Those who knew her are requested to make their farewells in their own way, in their own hearts. Cremation has taken place and inurnment will be held at a later date. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Rosefield Lodge and Dr. Gerald Meding, Innisfail for their remarkable and compassionate care.
