Isabelle Johnston, beloved wife of Ken Johnston of Red Deer, Alberta, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at the age of 59 years.

Isabelle lived a glorious life with no regrets; a life full of faith, love, and courage. She led an active life with many hobbies, and was passionate about fishing, boating, camping, art, travel, singing, dancing, crochet, home renova-tions, and gardening. Isabelle loved being with her family on countless road trips and special vacations.

Isabelle is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Kenneth Charles Johnston; children, Stephen and Tamaran; Siblings, John (Allana), Marilyn Adey (Doug), David (Regina), Peter (Elizabeth), Kathryn Phelan, all of St. John's, NL, and Sandra Authier (Ken) of Michigan, USA; nieces, Anne, Karen, Laura, Emily, Dawn, Leanna, Angela, Allison, Leah, Melissa; nephews, Adam, Mark, Justin. Isabelle will also be lovingly remembered by her sister-in-law Carolyn Johnston and her children Julia, Andrea, Mark and Sally; her three cats, Sofie, Murfy and especially her favourite, Pickles; as well her numerous extended family and friends. She was pre-deceased by her parents Clarence Victor Downton and Marjorie Downton; and her sister, Cynthia.

The family is so very grateful for the care and support of the intensive care unit team at the Red Deer Regional Hospital, with special thanks to Dr. Russell, Dr. Singh, Dr. Curtis, Dr. Benoit, Dr. Jym, Dr. Sokolowski; as well as the intensive care unit team of nurses, respiratory therapists and physiotherapists. We would also like to thank all of our friends in the great City of Red Deer for the incredible support over the past four months.

Funeral Services will be held at GAETZ MEMORIAL UNITED CHURCH (4758 - 50 Street, Red Deer, AB) on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Isabelle's name may be made directly to the Red Deer Regional Health Foundation, 3942 50A Avenue Red Deer, AB T4N 4Z5 https://www.rdrhfoundation.com/donate.
