JAFFARY

Isabelle

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother, Isabelle Jaffary (nee "Molly" McGhee). Isabelle was the youngest child born to the late John and Jessie McGhee in Briercrest, Sask- atchewan on July 2, 1922. She took her early schooling in Briercrest and then graduated from the Moose Jaw General Hospital School of Nursing in 1945. She worked in various hospitals in Saskatchewan before doing out-post nursing in Bella Bella, B.C. In 1951, Isabelle came to nurse at the Lacombe General Hospital. Surrounded by her family Isabelle left the Lacombe General Hospital on April 28, 2012. At a hospital tea, she met John Jaffary and her role in life changed from a care-free, happy-go-lucky nurse to a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grand-mother. Isabelle was a proud honorary member of the Lakeside Social Workers. The Regina Roughriders have lost a very loyal and supportive fan. Isabelle was predeceased by her husband, John in1999; five brothers, Bill, Jack, Earl, Bob and Cecil; a sister, Margaret and her twin sister, Agnes; one niece and one nephew. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Janet (Tom) Tack of Lacombe; Elizabeth (Wade) Roberts of Whitehorse, Yukon; and son, Dougall (Val) Jaffary of Lacombe; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Kath McGhee of Saskatoon, Sask. and Dorothy McGhee of Pitt Meadows, B.C. as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Darnell and Dr. Prins and the entire staff of units A & B of Lacombe Hospital for the devoted care to our mother over these past few weeks. Memorial donations in Isabelle's honour may be made directly to the Lacombe Palliative Care Society, Box 5576, Lacombe, Alberta, T4L 1X2. A celebration of Isabelle's life will be held at St. Andrew's United Church, 5226-51st Ave. Lacombe on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 2:00 p.m.
