Sad news for family and friends: Ivan died suddenly of cardiac arrest in Red Deer Hospital. He is survived by wife, Lorraine, son Devon (Tanie, of Coaldale), daughter Kathy (Vancouver), sister, Dianne Longson (Vancouver), stepchildren, Jeff and Leanne; grandchildren, Eric, Krizma, Jessica, Mark, Rayn, Broden, Claydon, Tanner, Austin; and dogs, Faylinn and Aurora; predeceased by parents Howard and Bertha (Mattie) Walker.
Ivan's early love of motorcycles lead to him working and partnering at Turple Bros. Honda for 45 years, then running Ivan's Cycle & Motor for ten years before retiring. He was widely known and well liked for his expertise and integrity. His clients became friends. Ivan volunteered with the Red Deer County Fire Department and the Red Deer SPCA over the years, and managed the Walker family genealogy records. Sat. July 7, 2018, 10 a.m. Graveside Service at Alto Reste Cemetery, Hwy 11, followed by Celebration of Life at 1 p.m., Red Deer Funeral Home, 6150 - 67 St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Red Deer SPCA.
