RANDELL

1951 - 2016


It is with great sadness that the family of Ivan Scott Randell of Red Deer announce his sudden passing at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton on December 24, 2016 at the age of 65 years. Ivan was born in 1951 in the small out port community of Williamsport, NL. In 1969, his family resettled to Englee, NL where he met and married Sadie, his wife of 39 years. They moved to Red Deer, AB in June, 2001 where he commenced work with Olymel until his passing. Ivan loved the great outdoors and enjoyed boating and fishing. With loving memories, Ivan is remembered by his wife Sadie; two daughters, Treena (Dean) Hopkins and Tasha (Charlie) Randell; two grandchildren, Brady and Blake; two Grand Puppies, Tucker and Gizmo; three brothers, Claude (Joyce), Joshua (Pauline) and Roger; five sisters, Ruby (Wilson) Randell, Selma (Robert) Randell, Pansy (Reuben) Curtis, Pearl (Wayne) Fillier, and Rita (Frank) Pittman; parents-in-law, Ivan and Fannie Gillard; as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. Ivan was predeceased by his parents Hezekiah and Emma Randell. A Celebration of Ivan's life service will be held at The Salvation Army Church, 4837 - 54 Street, Red Deer on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Public viewing will take place 12:30 p.m. to 1:50 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Central Alberta Cancer Centre (Red Deer), 3942 - 50A Ave P.O. Bag 5030, Red Deer AB T4N 4E7.
