It is with great sadness that Jack Mooney passed away at the age of 74, at the palliative care unit in the Red Deer hospital after a short battle with lung cancer. He is survived by his loving wife Doris Mooney of 51 years, his children; Darcy Mooney of Lacombe AB, Stacey (Cory) Glenn of Spruce View AB, 6 grandchildren: Amanda, Meagan, Richelle, Darcel, Dustin and Dylan, 9 great grandchildren, 1 brother Jim (Myrna) Mooney of Nanton AB. and his mother in law Edith Schiiler of Camrose AB. Jack was born to Neil and Nora Mooney of Arborfield Sask. In 1970 Jack and Doris moved to Red Der AB where Doris still resides. Jack was very involved with his family. He enjoyed camping, fishing, rodeo, and hockey. He worked very hard for many years in the oil patch and was very knowledgeable about vehicles. The family would like to give thanks to Dr Kamal Daniels and all the staff on I.C.U and Unit 32 Palliative Care for all there excellent Care and Support. Thanks to alternative funeral and cremation services for all your guidance and services. As per Jack wishes there will be no funeral service.
