BREWSTER James Harvey Brewster passed away peacefully on January 3, 2009 at the Innisfail Hospital at the age of 76 years. Jim was born to James & Jean Brewster on October 6, 1932 in Innisfail. He was raised on the family farm in the Summit District of Bowden and attended Summit School through Grade 9 and attended high school in Bowden and Red Deer. He met Melva Dye in high school at Bowden and married her in 1952 in High River. They began farming at the family farm following the wedding. They raised their family on the farm and lived on the homestead until 2006 when they retired and moved to Innisfail. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Melva Brewster; their five children Cheryl (Dave) Foat and their three children Marla, Kelsey and Jared; Ab Brewster and his two sons James and Mark; Joni (Dale) Baker and their two sons Devon and Brandon; Brad (JoAnne) Brewster and their two children Lyle and Stefani; Shelley (Terry) Gagnon and their two children Samantha and Joshua; and extended family Albert & Donna Poulsen and their two children Jana (Dan) Kemmere and Lisa and her fiance Tyson Gardner. Jim is also survived by his five brothers and sisters; Mary Nelson, Bob (Iyla) Brewster, twin sister Lorna Sinclair, Bill (Betty) Brewster and Albert (Michelle) Brewster and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2009 at 2:00pm at the Innisfail Alliance Church.
