HOLMWOOD James Mervin Holmwood of Lacombe passed away peacefully on July 17, 2008 at the Lacombe Hospital and Care Centre at the age of 77 years. He is survived by his children: Layne (Bonnie) of Sherwood Park, Alberta, Grant (Gail) of Okotoks, Alberta, Darren (Kim) of Lacombe, Alberta; 6 grandchildren: Dwayne, Miles, Marissa, Amy Rae, Kristopher, and Jeffrey. He is also survived by his brother Glen Holmwood of Porcupine Plains, Saskatchewan. James was predeceased by his wife Dolores Jean Holmwood, father Bert Holmwood, mother Ruby Holmwood, brother Dale, and sister-in-law Doris Holmwood. He will be greatly missed by numerous nieces, nephews and long time friends. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at Wilson's Funeral Chapel, 6120 Highway 2A, Lacombe, Alberta. Interment to follow in the Lacombe Fairview Cemetery.
