HRONEK James (Jim) Martin Hronek passed away on July 26, 2009 at the age of 69 years. Jim is survived by his wife Bette of Halkirk; son Barry (Mem) Hronek of Capetown, South Africa; daughter Dawn (Ben) Wiens of Stettler; grandchildren: Scott, Shaun, Carly and Amber; other family members and good friends. Predeceased by his parents Jacob and Isabel, brother Allan (Patti) and sister June. Funeral services were held at the Halkirk Community Hall, July 30, 2009 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jim Culham and Phil Doan officiating. Dawn and Barry gave the Eulogy. The family presented a DVD presentation, made by Shaun Wiens, to the family and friends in attendance. A few of Jims favourite musical selections "Thank You" by Johnny Reid, "Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain" by Willie Nelson, "Amazing Grace" by B.J. Thomas and the "Highway Man" by Waylon and Willie were played. Interment was at Halkirk Cemetery. Family and friends gathered in the Halkirk Hall for a time of sharing memories and a light luncheon prepared by the Halkirk Hall Board Members. Memorial donations may be made to the M.S.
