It is with sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. James Roy 'Jim' Ohlhauser in the caring hands of The Westpark Lodge, on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at the age of 84 years.

James Roy Ohlhauser was born March 24, 1934 in Swalwell, Alberta. Jim was raised south of Carbon, until his family moved to Kelowna, he then moved back to Alberta with hopes of life in farming. Jim resided in Calgary, where he married Gail and lovingly adopted Karen, Robert and Michael. The family was blessed with the birth of Jason James Ohlhauser. 

Jim worked at Jack Carter in Calgary, until he moved his family to Red Deer in 1973, where he worked for Red Deer Toyota, and soon after, Alpha Dairies and Dairy World. Trucking became his passion and remarkable friendships were made.

Jim is survived by his sister, Betty; wife, Gail; children, Karen, Robert, Mike and Jason; as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Jim was predeceased by his parents, Jacob and Pauline Ohlhauser; four brothers and one sister.

A Memorial Service will be held at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 - 67A Street, Red Deer, Alberta, on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. Arrangements in care of
