It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. James 'Jim' Roderick Mickelberry at home, surrounded by his family, in Red Deer, Alberta on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at the age of 85 years. Jim was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta on January 15, 1933.
Jim will lovingly be remembered by his wife of sixty-one years, Betty; four children, Rod (Viengxay), Darlene, Kevin (Monica) and Karen (Tom); five grand-children, Trish, Jessica, Robyn (Kyle), Samantha and Blair (Shelby); and three great grandchildren, Dustin, Bridget and Hannah. Jim will be forever remembered and missed by his extended family and dear friends.
A Celebration of Jim's Life will be held at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 - 67A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. If desired, in lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations in Jim's honour may be made directly to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation at www.arthritis.ca.
