It is with heavy heart that I announce the passing of my adopted son James. He was a treasure to me and my late wife Suzette who passed Dec 2011.
James was born in La Range, SK and we had him as part of our lives since birth. As a military family James lived in Summerside, Winnipeg, Penhold, Geilenkirchen, Edmonton, Borden, Yellowknife and Whitehorse beofre settling back to Penhold,
He attended many schools and graduated in Yellow knife. It was known that James had his struggles and was determine to overcome them.
Through it all 2 friends steadfastly remained by James - Franz Caponpon and Nick Demers - which I am forever grateful, also Brian and Elke Holly treated James like a son and Brian was a great mentor. People tend to dismiss people with an illness but these peoples showed grace and compassion to another human being.
James is survived by his father Jack , sister Maryann Butterfly (Gordon, Children Brooklynn and Alysia, brothers David (Children Anthony and Allison) and Robert Swann. Also his uncle Gordon Ratt in Stanley Mission, good sincere friends. Hope and Sam Hardlotte plus many friends in the La Range/Prince Albert area.
Cremention has been entrusted to Eventide Funeral Chapal, Red Deer, and a memorial will be held on October 06, 2018 time is at 1:00pm.
