Jay BROWN

March 13, 2008

BROWN Jay A. May 5 1959 - March 7 2008 "Some will be remembered for what they said. Others will be remembered for what they did. The special will be remembered for who they were." Jay was born in Drayton Valley, on May 5, 1959 as the seventh child of James and Edith Brown. Jay will always be remembered as a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. His laughter, energy and loving heart ensure that he will be greatly missed while living on in the hearts and memories of his many family and friends. Born with an adventurous spirit and being an avid outdoorsman, Jay was rarely without a rifle, bow or fishing rod. He loved to share the tales of these action-packed experiences with his appreciative family and friends, the lucky ones of whom were part of the action in one tale or another. Jay leaves behind his treasured sons: Jason and Gregory; Jason's wife Mandy, and Jay's precious granddaughter, Baelyn Hunter Brown; his beloved soul mate Lisa Wildman and her daughters Alison and husband Rodney Rice with grandchildren Sean, Brenna and Quinn; Holly and partner John and grandson Berett; Mother Edith Brown; seven brothers and sisters: Gordon and Sandy Brown, Louise and Garry Mastre, Dale and Deborah Brown, Martha and Dave Hawkings, Lorna and Brian Gyori, Jamie and Brian Dyrland, and Bill and Terri Brown plus numerous nieces and nephews.  Jay is also remembered by his estranged wife Joanne and her family. He was pre-deceased by his father, James A. Brown in 1992. The memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm, March 14, 2008 at Withrow Gospel Mission with Pastor Brian Allen officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fort St John Palliative Society, the Withrow Gospel Mission, Ducks Unlimited, or the Tom Baker Cancer Centre.
