BOWEY Jean Annie Bowey of Sylvan Lake passed away suddenly at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at the age of 76. She is survived by her children Sheryll (Donna) of Sylvan Lake, Rick (Esther) of Calgary, Donna Lee (Les) of Wetaskiwin; her sister Amy of Barrhead; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by her husband Cliff in 1988. Jean loved Sylvan Lake and was an active volunteer in the community, especially with the Sylvan Lake Seniors Center. She was the senior of the year in 1996. Traveling the world was a dream come true and in between her jaunts she treasured the time she spent playing bridge. She was a loving matriarch of a close knit family. Celebration of Life for the late Jean Bowey will be held at the Memorial Presbyterian Church, Sylvan Lake, on Saturday, February 19, 2005 at 1:30 P.M. with Reverend Bob Wilson officiating. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations in Jean's memory may be made to Bethany Care Center, Sylvan Lake, Alberta.
