Jean Frances Samuelson (Frizzell)

June 2, 1943 – August 11, 2022
In loving memory ~
August 11, 2022 the gates of heaven were opened to welcome beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and daughter Jean into the arms of her Savior and eternal life.
Jean is survived by her husband of 59 years, Alan Samuelson, her sons David Samuelson (Sandy) and Gerry Samuelson, daughters Janine Samuelson (Anthony) and Suzanne Spady (Dean). She was an amazing grandma to 14 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. She is also survived by her oldest brother Lawrence Frizzell and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jean was predeceased by both her parents, Walter and Mary Angela (Long) Frizzell as well as three brothers, Dick, Denny and Dave Frizzell.
Jean’s service will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Red Deer, AB on October 21, 2022 at 11am. St. Mary’s will also live stream the service via a link on their website: https://stmarysparish.jimdo.com
An avid creator, Jean was well known for her sharing of her creations whether they came from her kitchen, her sewing room or one of her many, many balls of yarn and knitting needles.
Jean often said “Socks are Love” and she believed that acts of service should stay in your community, so in lieu of flowers donations of socks and underwear to your local homeless shelter or supporting your local food bank in her memory would be greatly appreciated.
