May 19, 2009

HAMBLY Jean Born in Rimbey Alberta, May 4, 1930. Eldest daughter of Ellery and Elsie Lindsay. She left us May 10, 2009 at the age of 79 years at the Abbotsford Hospital. Predeceased by her brother Cecil in July 2001. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Reg, sons Jim (Allyson), Howard (Maureen), Mike (Carrie), Rob (Alison). Grandchildren Kristal, Laura (Dwayne), Melissa(Tyler), and Sara. Great grandchildren Khristine and Mikaela. Also lovingly remembered by her brother Charles and sister Norma (Len). Her hobbies included antique collecting, painting, and many crafts. Many hours were spent watching curling; supporting her family at the rink. A farmer's wife raising four boys (and her husband!) on the prairie from 1955-1966. The family moved to the Fraser Valley in 1966 continuing with the farm. She also became a realtor and finished raising her family here. Very proud of her four boys and their families, she'll be missed more than can be said. She would often say "Don't worry about me, I'll be fine, just go." And at the end of her life here on earth, she didn't want to burden us with her troubles, she was independent, and strong willed until the end. We will be remembering her in a celebration of life ceremony on May 22, 2009 at 3:00 pm at the Abbotsford Curling Club. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to either the Abbotsford Regional Hospital Kidney Care Centre or The BC Lung Association. "My family was my life and I'm proud of all of them" - Jean
