HOLMES Jean Catherine 1929 - 2008 Jean Holmes passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on December 27, 2008. She was raised in Edson, daughter of Mina and George Gourley. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brother Donald, sister Noreen Brown and son-in-law Randy Moore. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Jack, her 5 children, John (Kathy), Marni Moore, Donald (Diane), Gordon(Trish), Douglas (Diana) and 14 grandchildren as well as her sister Evelyn Grant. A celebration of Jeans' life will be held at the Crossroads Church, Red Deer, at 2:00 pm. on Saturday, January 3, 2009. Jeans' family wish to express their sincere appreciation to the doctors and ICU nurses for the excellent care Jean received during her final illness. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in Jeans' memory to the Red Deer Hospice Society 99 Arnot Ave, Red Deer, T4R 3S6 or to any charity of the donor's choice.
